Surpetrol presents a field case of improving well productivity with data analytics & multiphase meters. Continuous monitoring of well production has allowed us to build gas injection-production efficiency curves to optimize well productivity in each well. The figure shows the production trend of an offshore oil well with gas-lift in the Gulf of Mexico at subsequent moments. A 50% increase in oil production has been gained by eliminating the gas injection in this well.
This is an example showing the value of using multiphase meter data to increase operational efficiency and improve well productivity.
